THE REASON I

MAKETIME4WELLNESS

is that it's become a lifestyle for me. It’s become something that provides a spark for my day, leaves me feeling accomplished, and oftentimes connects me with a community of others who are doing the same. In my opinion it's invigorating to show up to a gym or fitness studio and see so many other people showing up for themselves, loving themselves.

Once I began sharing my story on social media many have reached out and told me that I have inspired some change within themselves. At first I felt like there’s no way that my changes or what I’ve begun doing with my life could have that effect on anyone. It felt weird to hear that, but over time and the more people that reached out, I saw that what I am doing is making an impact. By no means am I a poster child and I am constantly working on growth and getting better daily, but what we do and what we share can impact others. This ultimately pushed my outside of my comfort zone again to start this Maketime4wellness community. First it was just posting workouts and etc with the #maketime4wellness. Then is became securing the social media and web address. Then it became moving to another city and meeting with the right people that pushed me to believe there are legs behind this and here we are today launching maketime4wellness and our mission… 
Maketime4wellness is a community designed to inspire a lifestyle that brings lasting change in peoples lives with a focus on physical wellness, emotional/mental wellness, social wellness, and spiritual wellness….
Our goal with maketime4wellness is exactly what our mission statement says. To inspire a lifestyle that brings lasting change in peoples lives with a focus on physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellness. The beauty is that myself and others in the community are actively engaged in this on the daily and figuring it all out as we go. It’s constantly evolving and wellness looks different to every individual. So we’re a place of support, encouragement, ideas, and showing others that its never too late to maketime4wellness in your life. All you have to do is want to make a change and seize that opportunity. 
How I make time 4 wellness on the daily is fairly simple. Right now I am fortunate to live close to the beach and take time each morning to get out for a walk, listen to the ocean, smile at others, and get some sun on the eyes. Finding a workout is also a top priority for each day even when I am not feeling it. You’ll never regret a sweat or just moving the body. At the end of the day I am a sucker for chasing the sunset and the beauty it holds. It provides another avenue of wellness for me as I can walk alone or with someone close to me and clear the day. The sunset never gets old…
I believe that anyone can benefit for making time 4 wellness. It is definitely different for everyone and I believe that if we can encourage others to do one thing each day that benefits their own wellness then we’re accomplishing a lot. Whether it is getting a workout, a walk alone or with friends, spending time with family, a massage, a sunset, mental health work, the list goes on and on. 
The areas of MT4W that I benefit most from are the physical and mental aspects. What makes me feel the best is a good sweat at one of the various fitness studios or gyms that I frequent in the San Diego community. It provides me with the physical activity to help my body and promote longevity, it fuels some social connection with the others that are showing up, and it aids in my mental health.
